FAQ
How long will this hearing be?
Unknown. It’s hard to determine how much allotted time each side will use and how long City Council will deliberate. However, the last public hearing was 9 a.m.- 11:40 pm.
What time will public comment occur?
There is no set time for public comment. It solely depends on how fast presenters and questions go.
Can I bring a sign?
Yes, but it must not block the view of others. Do not affix the sign to anything such as a stick or pole (handheld signs only).
Can I bring food?
No outside food is permitted in the venue. The concession stand will be open and there will be a lunch break where you’ll be able to leave and come back.
Can I bring documents for my comment?
Yes, but you must email a copy in advance to City Council. Access to the stage is not logistically easy so a handoff of materials is difficult. You may bring and offer a paper copy and mention a copy was sent electronically in advance.
Do I have to stay for the whole hearing?
You do not need to stay for the entire hearing. Community members are welcome to attend and show opposition to Project Taurus for as long as they are able or even to stop by after work. However, if you are not present during public comment you will be skipped and your spot will go to another person on the waiting list.
What happens if the appeals are denied?
If the appeals are denied again there is no further appeal process. Raeden would be able to start building Project Taurus. No matter how this hearing goes, we still have power to protect our community from harmful data centers!
